1/09/24 6 am

:) :) :) :) :) EEEEEEE!!! It’s 6 in the morning, I can’t go back to sleep. Okay, right after he walked in the door yesterday, he apologized over and over again for being gone so long. He has been taking as many jobs as he can to save up for us. He bought that town home that Alex and I were looking at, and he’s been moving into it, buying furniture when possible. So far, he’s furnished two bedrooms, (Alex and I will share, and he has his own), the living room, borrowed a kitchen table from his friend, and bought stuff to eat with, like plates and cups and blah blah blah… All that’s left is the dining room and buying a microwave. The point is he’s been busy. He also got the rest of our clothes and stuff from our parents, who don’t even give a crap that we’ve apparently disappeared off the face of the freaking planet. WTF??? What’s wrong with this picture? Oh, yeah, my parents don’t CARE that I’m UNdead. They’re acting like I actually stayed dead… AUGH!!!! Oh well. Maci has stopped by a few times, but I think I freak her out. Poor girl. You know, for her being my twin, we look nothing alike. People have always thought that ALEX was my twin… I think that’s beyond weird, but hey? What can I do? Oh well. Oh, I forgot to tell you something. Alex is Jake’s sister. He was adopted when he was little, something happened with his parents, and Alec’s parents were close family friends, and they volunteered to take care of him. The situation with his parents got worse, and the state took him away from them, and Alex’s mom & dad adopted him. Okay, back to the original point of this. He told us all that, and then asked if we were ready to go see our new house. Of course, we agreed so fast you couldn’t say “I’m undead”:). We walked out of that stuffy hotel room for the last time, carrying what clothes we had in bags that he had brought. We strode on down to the reception area, and paid the bill, which was a giant $600. Apparently, he tapped into a secret savings fund that he’s had since he was like, 8. I don’t even want to know. Then, he led us out to his car, and we packed our stuff in the trunk and drove off. About 20 minutes later, he pulled into our new driveway. The house was painted a beautiful creamy white, with black accents. It has a two-car garage, and he drove up into it. Alex jumped out of the backseat as fast as she possibly could, and ran inside yelling “I’m gonna find our room first!!” I just rolled my eyes and laughed with Jake, savoring being with him. He helped me carry our bags into the living room. I put my hands on my hips, and surveyed my new surroundings. I smiled, and he came up and put his arm around me. We stood there for a few minutes, just smiling. All of a sudden, Alex jumped down the steps, saying “SAMMI!! COME ON!! IT’S SO PRETTY!!” I laughed and ran up the stairs after her. She guided me to our room, and half dragged me into it. I gasped. It was panted an azure blue, like how the sky is when there's no clouds in sight. The trim was painted white, and there were two canopy beds, one had a purple silk canopy, the other a green silk one. Jake walked up behind me and said "Do you like it? The purple one is Sammi's, the green is Alex's. I asked Maci about what colors you two like, and she picked out this stuff for you. I squealed, "Jake, it's perfect!!" Then, I did the completely normal thing for a 16 year old girl, which is walk over to the bed and flop down on it. He laughed and said "I'm glad you like it, agapi mou." I must've looked as confused as I was, cause he added "It means "my love" in greek. I'm taking it in college." I said "Ohhhh... Awww... You're my agapi mou too, then." He smiled. We sat there with the whole "lost in your eyes" thing for a second before Alex did the mature thing and went "Ewww. Would you two little love sickos stop making googl eyes at each other? God!" I smiled, and said, "Alex, when you fall in love, I'm going to bother you about half as much as you bother us, because that's all that HUMAN DECENCY allows..." She grinned and walked out, mumbling something about food. I yawned, "I'm beat. I'm going to sleep, okay, Jake?" He replied "Alright, rest while you can." I walked over to give him a hug, and he looked down at me. Then, guess what? As I looked up from the hug, he kissed me! It wasn't a gross, slobbery kiss, but a sweet, "this should have happened a long time ago" kiss. He broke it off, and looked at me. "Was that okay?" He enquired. I just nodded, and he left, closing the door behind him. I fell asleep soon after, and I slept through the night. It's morning now, and I have to go, I'm being called for breakfast... :)
